Configuration Analyst
The UW Configuration Specialist will work on the end-to-end solution. Job duties include reverse engineering of rating calculators, understanding business process, and adapting the technology to deliver, functionally guide the business in understanding, testing and validation of the configured solution. Continuation in building out the documentation around the configuration process and support documents for growth. Other duties include working on projects, interacting directly with key business users to define, refine, and finalize business requirements. Candidate must be able to engage with business partners as a collaborator.
Essential Skills:
- Insurance (property, general liability, surplus line, etc.) knowledge a plus.
- Insurance Underwriting knowledge is a major benefit.
- Good working knowledge in all areas of business analysis including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience in an environment using an AGILE/Scrum methodology is a plus.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories for development sprints.
- Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and help business partners derive best practices and processes from in depth discussions.
- Excellent business and technical documentation and communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills
- Exposure to JSON and other core technologies
- Exposure to API integration
- Exposure to Postman for testing
- Detail oriented with a drive to understand existing systems and a desire to be an active participant in the SDLC process.
- Ability to understand the business vision and priorities to help prioritize and scope work for the team.
- Refined analytical thinking and critical thinking skills. Can identify if a solution will meet business needs and ensures solutions solve underlying problems instead of just the immediate need.

Nice to Haves:
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Experience working on an Agile team.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases (tables, views, stored procedures) with the ability to write basic queries.
