As a first level supervisor you will provide leadership, technical direction and oversight to Nuclear Engineering Safety Engineers and potentially subcontract employees. Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and safety awareness, establishing goals, and expectations. The Safety Analysis Engineering Supervisor will perform the following activities:
Demonstrated knowledge of, and the ability to manage, using project management techniques such as tracking and trending, scheduling and cost estimating to meet reliability, operability, cost, schedule and quality expectations; knowledge of engineering principles and their application to risk analysis, qualitative risk assessment, facilities and systems operation, and manufacturing processes and systems; working knowledge of engineering principles and standard industry operations. Conducts personnel performance appraisals and recommends promotions & adjustments of immediate subordinates as well participating in the overall appraisals of the functional organization as a whole.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or related) from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET.
