Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher creates, smoothes, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Overview:
We are seeking skilled Concrete Finishers and Laborers to join our team during the 2024 construction season.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare concrete flatwork and foundation projects.
-Set forms, grade work, reinforcement, pour and finish projects.
-Tear down, cut, cure and seal concrete flatwork projets.
-Mobilize to various jobsites
-Finishers should know how to all of the above as well as operate power trowels as necessary
-flatwork projects include but are not limited to, basement floots, garage/shop floors, broom finish exterior, Decorative stamped and colored concrete.
-foundation/wall projects include but are not limited to 4' frost walls (ICF and conventional concrete walls) Thickened edge insulated slab o grade.
-proficiency in operating a skid steer is a plus but is not required.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role
- Strong knowledge of concrete
- Familiarity with different types of concrete finishes and their applications
- Proficiency in using power tools such as trowels, edgers, light equipment, and hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately is a plus
- Attention to detail and a high level of quality
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials/equipment
