    The Competitive Pricing Analyst (Consumer Goods) will support developing pricing strategies, recommendations, and guardrails for all product categories in our omni-channel platform. They will use technical tools and methodologies such as elasticity and demand curve modeling to determine optimal price points, test & and control methodologies to identify the most effective pricing strategies, rules-based pricing to drive automation and consistency, cluster analysis to identify trends across similar products and geographies, and financial impact analysis to evaluate pricing recommendations and decisions that ultimately lead to improved profitability and revenue enhancement.


    The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.


    Key Responsibilities:


    · Market Analysis:

    o Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities and threats that would impact pricing decisions.

    o Monitor competitors' pricing strategies and promotional activities to understand their positioning in the market, provide insights on those pricing dynamics, and recommend appropriate responses to maintain a competitive edge.

    o Conduct in-depth market research, both internally and externally, to gather insights on customer preferences, pricing sensitivity, and buying behavior.

    · Cost Analysis:

    o Evaluate the cost stack of products, including freight, production, distribution, marketing, damages, and all associated selling expenses, to ensure true bottom-line pricing aligns with profit margin goals.

    · Pricing Strategy Development:

    o Develop and recommend pricing strategies for all sales channels that consider factors such as product uniqueness, target customer, and overall value proposition.

    o Propose tiered pricing, bundling, or other promotional strategies to cater to different customer segments and maximize overall revenue.

    · Price Optimization, Testing, and Implementation:

    o Work closely with the various teams to ensure smooth implementation of new pricing strategies.

    o Analyze historical sales data and pricing information to identify patterns and correlations that guide pricing adjustments.

    o Utilize pricing models and software tools to simulate and forecast the impact of various pricing scenarios on revenue and profitability.

    o Design and execute price tests to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on customer behavior and financial outcomes.

    o Monitor the results of implemented pricing strategies and iterate based on performance feedback.

    · Data Analysis and Reporting:

    o Gather and analyze data from various sources to generate reports and dashboards that provide insights into pricing performance and effectiveness.

    o Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and actionable manner.


    Qualifications and Skills:


    · Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field

    · 3 Years Experience in Pricing, Data Analytics, Finance, Omnichannel Retailing, or related pricing and promotion field. Experience working in cross-functional teams, data elements or financial metrics analyses.

    · 3 Years Experience in Price Management, Merchandising, Financial Planning and Analysis, Store Operations, or Logistics. Experience as a Lead Merchant and/or Pricing Lead in an omni-channel retail environment.

    · Microsoft PBI and SQL knowledge are a plus but not required
