Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker jobs in District of Columbia
Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker prepares salads, sauces, desserts, etc. according to proper preparation methods. Responsible for standard food service work including sanitation duties, and various serving responsibilities. Being a Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker may help with grocery selection, storage, maintenance as well as cooking preparation. Has knowledge of proper food handling procedures and government regulations regarding the food code. Additionally, Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary:
As a Food Service Worker l, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: washing dishes, pots and pans. Assisting in cleaning and maintaining all areas of the department in a sanitary condition.This is a part time opportunity. It is a requirement to work rotating weekends.
Primary Duties:· Washes pots and pans
· Operates the dishwasher, loading and unloading.
· Sweeps, mops, strips and buffs floors in department.
· Collects and disposes of trash and transports it to the disposal area.
· Wipes down tables and chairs.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required- but a minimum of 3 years of directly relevant job-related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
· 3 months of work related experience required.
