Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The R&D Clinical Research Team is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Manager with interest and experience in either infectious disease research or oncology research. The successful candidate will be energetic, inquisitive, and excel in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment.

    In this Clinical Research Manager position, you will consult on targeted sample acquisition efforts, coordinate product-focused studies for new marker evaluation, and engage in Clinical Research collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders to demonstrate clinical utility of novel markers.

    What You Will Do

    • Perform a variety of Clinical Research activities involving critical thinking, study planning, execution, analysis and study reporting to support the R&D Clinical Research Team.
    • Utilize data, metrics and system tools to understand clinical utility and to enhance customer experience.
    • Provide onsite supervision and support for Clinical Research Team members.
    • Establish and approve scientific methods and protocols needed for external collaborative research studies.
    • Work accurately and efficiently with careful attention to detail, appropriate documentation, and clear communication.
    • Develop business acumen through internal and external networking to understand level of clinical evidence needed for product charter.
    • Stay current with new technology in biomarker discovery.
    • May manage staff, assign work and evaluate results.
    • Collaborate and communicate with colleagues inside and outside of R&D to provide work support, exchange information and ensure efficient processes.
    • Maintain knowledge of products and procedures, developments in the field and industry and regulatory environment.
    • Adhere to appropriate procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • May participate in conferences, webinars and seminars to continue to develop knowledge base and build Key Opinion Leader network.

    What you need to succeed:

    • DVM or equivalent medical training/experience required.
    • PhD or equivalent scientific training required.
    • Prior clinical research experience and track record of peer-reviewed publications preferred.
    • Prior industry experience preferred.
    • Accountable, detail-oriented, and flexible.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and handle the stress of multiple deadlines.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels across the business and serve as an external spokesperson for the organization.
    • Ability to work onsite and cooperatively as part of a team.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
    • Ability to oversee development of laboratory bench and instrumentation skills.
    • Ability to handle veterinary and human clinical research samples.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Organizational skills and ability to plan work.
