As the Interim Inpatient Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for hospitalized patients. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch pharmaceutical care. Your responsibilities will include medication therapy management, overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Management: Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide recommendations to optimize treatment plans.
• Dispensing and Compounding: Oversee the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medications, potential side effects, and proper usage to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and best practices in medication management.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience working as an inpatient pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting is required.
• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Current pharmacist license in the state of Florida.
• Skills: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH EPIC
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of medication management.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
