Entry-Level Chemist (Chemical Manufacturing - GMP)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Chemist to join our chemical manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products through various analytical techniques, including:
Chromatography (HPLC, GC, etc.)
Ion Chromatography (IC)
Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)
Gas Chromatography
Responsibilities:
Analytical Testing:
-Perform assigned daily analyses, ensuring accurate results under the direction of staff or management.
-Use techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC), ion chromatography (IC), and inductively coupled plasma (ICP).
-Identify problems and promptly inform management or staff.
-Follow established standard operating procedures meticulously.
Quality Assurance:
-Embrace safety and environmental policies and procedures.
-Coordinate and execute materials shelf life and compatibility testing.
-Maintain efficiency and data quality.
-Adhere rigorously to company, industry, and OSHA safety protocols.
Lab Maintenance:
-Set up and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
-Routine instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
-Ensure proper storage and handling of equipment and chemicals.
-Keep the lab environment orderly and clean.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members, both verbally and in writing.
Supervise apprentices and trainees.
Work alongside engineers to optimize process equipment efficiency.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
-Strong theoretical knowledge of analytical chemistry principles.
-Hands-on experience with chromatography techniques is a plus.
-Familiarity with ion chromatography (IC) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) methods.
-Proficiency in data analysis using software tools (e.g., Excel, ChemStation, etc.).
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Knowledge of GMP regulations and quality control practices.
-Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
