SportsMED Complete Orthopedic Care is seeking an experienced medical office professional to assume the role of Front Office Manager at our Huntsville, Alabama, practice location. The Front Office Manager is responsible for supervising a group of 12 team members who fulfill all front-end revenue cycle processes, check-in and check-out, patient financial counseling, and more.
SportsMED Complete Orthopedic Care has four practice locations spanning across North Alabama in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, and Decatur. Our clinical staff consists of 24 physicians and 22 physician extenders of various specialties including orthopaedic surgery, spine and neurosurgery, physiatry, and podiatry. Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- At least 5 years of clerical experience in a medical office setting, with no less than 3 years of managerial experience in a medical office setting.
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to demonstrate successful process improvement initiatives during his/her time as a manager
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- 5 years or more of managerial experience in a medical office setting
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, or other relevant degree field
- Experience in developing training regimens for new team members
- Experience handling complex staff schedules and mitigating excess overtime
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinic setting consisting of 10 or more physicians
