Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position in the Nursing and Life Sciences Division that reports to the Program Director of Patient Care.
Salary: $35.00/hr
Minimum Qualifications
Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, active, unrestricted Georgia License. Minimum of two years of full‐time paid in field work experience as a RN or LPN within the past five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of one year’s experience in a long‐term care facility. Experience in teaching and curriculum development. Active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organization. Train-the Trainer Workshop Attendance Certificate from Georgia Medical Care Foundations.
