We are in search of a Catering Sales Manager to join our Grand team at our 1,300 acre Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. What will you be doing?

• Manages property sales, including weddings and catering.
• Provides market intelligence to adapt strategies and exceed client expectations.
• Solicits new/existing accounts to surpass revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
• Achieves catering revenue goals and quarterly booking by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue.
• Attend community/social events, industry meetings including joining local/national organizations.
• Develop and sell creative catered events and respond to catering opportunities.
• Collaborates with Culinary and Events teams in the development of menus that drive sales and to provide quality service to customers.
• Ensures detailed communication throughout sales process, achieving revenue goals, maintaining guest satisfaction, understanding hotel procedures, and delivering exemplary customer service.
• Delivers exemplary customer service to drive client/group satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and monitoring their satisfaction prior and during their event

What do you bring to the role?

• 2-3 years catering sales experience required, with preference for corporate and social markets, including weddings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry operating systems (Delphi FDC, Wedding Wire, The Knot) and wedding industry trends and market factors.
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
• Knowledgeable in food and beverage menus and presentation.
• Experience in proactive selling and banquet operations, preferably in Chicago and Milwaukee markets.
• Preferred degree in relevant field; creativity and strategic thinking valued.
