Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Being a Category Management Analyst, Sr. implements category plans and effective sales materials working with internal groups, suppliers, and others. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Category Management Analyst, Sr. typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Category Management Analyst, Sr. contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Category Management Manager is the subject matter expert surrounding category assortment, shelf management, assortment analyses, opportunity gaps, SWOT Analysis, Industry/Macro Trends and much more that create value to both BBU and the customer. Effective performance requires thorough understanding and consistent use of syndicated data sources such as IRI/Nielsen, Spectra, and planogram software (JDA/Apollo).
