We are seeking a highly qualified Director, Finance Business Process & Technology Optimization to join our Finance team at Altria. This role can be based in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.
As a Director of Finance Process Optimization, you will collaborate with Altria’s IT organization on the deployment of innovative technologies to improve the productivity and capability for the Finance organization. You will also be responsible for the execution and administration of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud platform and other Finance business applications. The Director is also responsible for partnering with the Director of Information Services to identify opportunities to improve data analytics capabilities across Finance to streamline, automate and drive process efficiencies.
What you’ll be doing:
• Manage and administrate the Oracle EPM cloud platform, to include reporting, data integrity, data analytics, training, and platform expansion, ensuring that the platform is being optimized to its full capability and integrated with other business applications, where applicable.
• Champion initiatives that transform finance business processes through continuous assessment of existing processes to ensure they are operating effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and lead the implementation of new and improved processes, taking an end-to-end approach with a focus on improved data analysis, automation, speed and efficiency, reduced risk, and are fully integrated with our other business analysis tools.
• Collaborate with the Director, Information Services and lead cross-functional teams on all aspects of Finance-wide system initiatives for existing processes as well as for new business initiatives, including development, business process design, controls frameworks, training and change management
• Develop the vision for Finance operations and serve as a primary liaison with Information Services Organization as it relates to the 3-year enterprise systems roadmap, ensuring that all Finance business requirements are met and incorporated into that roadmap as appropriate.
What we want you to have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA preferred. Additionally, experience in Information Systems Management, or Data Analytics is also desired
• 10 years of experience with leadership accountability in people management with the ability to build organizational capability.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Proficiency in the administration of Oracle Enterprise Management (EPM) Cloud applications and the use of SAP, other finance systems, and data analytics tools.
• Strong discernment and business process knowledge with a proven ability to integrate technical expertise with business understanding.
• Financial literacy, including working knowledge of accounting, and financial and management reporting.
• Superb communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven Project Management skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
