Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Continuity Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Is this the type of company you could work for?  We are looking for someone to:       Serve as a leader and one of the corporate experts to present initiatives to associates, all business units, the executive team, IRT and other teams as necessary, as it pertains to business continuity, resiliency, risk and disruptions. Responsible for the administration and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Insurance, Business Continuity and Vendor Management support programs. Administers risk management policies and protocols, including but not limited to corporate support of fraternal properties and loss claims, updating risk management measurement system, incorporating security data into vendor management evaluations, and systematically notifying vendor relationship managers of ongoing data requirement needs. Develops schedules for Executive Management’s meeting with A.M. Best, works in preparing A.M. Best documentation and ORSA report, provides management with regular status updates and reports regarding identified risks and measurement, vendor management, impacts on business continuity and how these activities impact corporate insurance renewal premiums. Collects and analyzes documentation, reports, and market trends. Maintains enterprise risk reports and proposals. Maintains effective documented business continuity plans, disaster recovery testing and metrics associated with periodic monitoring and testing. Supports all business continuity plan activities to manage a crisis event. Establishes and maintains a vendor management program to ensure compliance with ERM and Business Continuity  industry standards.   We need someone who has: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field required. Proven ability to distill data into information in a changing environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to execute complex and difficult business decisions. Excellent mathematical and critical thinking skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies. Ability to negotiate with vendors to come to a mutually acceptable agreement   Strong project and time management skills required to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
