Overview:
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Branch Review Specialist. Perform operational, financial and compliance branch reviews to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Focuses on fraud detection and prevention, internal controls, and retail banking audit reports.
Responsibilities:
- Performs work under minimal supervision, receiving guidance from VP, Head of Banking Risk.

Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices

Perform assigned reviews according to the annual review plan using risk-based review techniques to develop the objective, scope and audit program. Ensure branch operations contain adequate controls, which adhere to Credit Union policies and procedures, and applicable regulations.

Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives.

Work closely with support departments to identify, correct and improve processes effecting front-line staff.

Define and direct to management, the development and implementation of processes risk control based on the applicable agency’s regulations. Provides consulting services to branch management teams to add value to branch operations.

Compile auditing deficiency reports. Report any shortcomings and provide recommendations for improvements and corrective measures.

Develop strategic and tactical objectives to improve quality and efficiency while reducing deficiencies in the branch network and other designated areas.

Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience. is required.

Minimum 3years expereince in banking or auditing is required.

Minimim 1 year supervisory or leadership experience required

Salary Range: G 26 $75,541.46 - $88,678.02 Annually
