Job Description

The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, goal oriented, and is interested in working in a fast-paced, professional Human Resources environment. This position will serve as a Human Resources Student Assistant performing a wide range of duties supporting the Classifications and Selections representatives, as well as the Labor Relations staff serving the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Academics focusing on Human Resources.
• Exceptional follow up and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and self-motivated with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Ability to work closely with others on complex issues

Required Education and Experience

Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution. Specific information on the education and experience required for difference class levels is in the job specifications for Human Resources Student Assistant class.
