Sports Performance Trainer - Athletic Republic (North Dallas, Texas)
The Sports Performance Trainer will be responsible for administering Athletic Republic’s Acceleration, Enhanced and Strength classes. The Trainer must have experience in training youth and adolescent athletes, a basic understanding of human physiology, and the energy / passion to motivate a group of young athletes who want to improve and grow in their athletic journey.
This is a part-time position based in the Athletic Republic located in North Dallas, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sports Performance Trainer is expected to deliver Athletic Republic's performance sports training program, direct the daily operations of the training center and help every athlete achieve their performance goals. to:
Complete the Athletic Republic Level 1 certification course prior to the first day of work, the Level 2 certification course within the first month of employment, and the Level 3 and the ACL Bridge certification courses within the first 8 months of employment. Trainers who pass the Athletic Republic Return to Play, ACL Bridge Certification will also be cleared to work within that program.
Become familiar with all aspects of the training programs to deliver an outstanding athlete training experience. This includes demonstrating a commitment to the Athletic Republic philosophy of developing athleticism for every athlete, regardless of age, gender, or sport utilizing our best practices/protocol-driven system and proprietary equipment.
Become proficient in identifying the performance characteristics required for success in different sports to prescribe the appropriate Athletic Republic protocols or combinations of protocols to meet the needs of all potential athlete customers.
Understand how best to utilize the training equipment, training technology, and athlete assessment resources and provide feedback to the athletes while training, as well as communicate performance development through the online scorecard / APP.
Keep athlete testing data up to date and entered into Athletic Republics Assessment database. Inform parents and athletes of their progress with appropriate context and notes.
Be proficient in leading a training trial and selling new customer prospects on the training services. Be able to engage with athletes and parents while demonstrating your skills and expertise.
Become proficient at explaining testing results to athletes/parents and how they are related to their sport.
Contribute to the center’s effort to retain customers, encourage referrals, and attract new customers.
Contribute to keeping the center clean, uncluttered, and organized and supporting the Training Center General Manager and Director of Sports Performance as directed.
Deliver quality customer service and support through every customer interaction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Dynamic Presence - Ideal candidates must be energetic, personable, highly motivated, and comfortable working with athletes of all ages. A strong attention to detail and proven ability to operate independently and contribute within a team structure.
Passion for Athlete Development - Experience playing and/or coaching sports and an appreciation/passion for performance sports training.
Customer Service and Communication Skills - Must have superior verbal and written skills and experience in delivering quality customer care.
Experience - Two (2) years of coaching / training experience.
Education - College degree in the field of exercise science, kinesiology, sports/human performance management or similar degree program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree in relevant field and/or certifications in strength and conditioning (NSCA, USATF, NASM, etc.)
POSITION DETAILS
This is a part-time position that is expected to work between 8 and 20 hours per week during the morning, midday or evening hours.
Full time positions available as well.
Compensation is competitive and the option to deliver personal training services during off-peak hours is available to the right sports trainer.
The position may lead to additional training and management opportunities within the location, or elsewhere in the Athletic Republic national network.
