Assoc. Professor - Psychology teaches courses in the discipline area of psychology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Psychology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Adjunct teaching positions regularly become available in the Psychology Department. The Department requires that all adjunct faculty have completed a Master's or a Doctoral degree in the specialization area of the course and have closely related work/teaching experience to teach upper-division courses. A minimum of a Master's degree in any sub-discipline of Psychology is required to teach Introductory Psychology. For upper-division courses (300-level or above), priority is given to applicants who have practical experience in the area of the coursework (where applicable), rather than teaching experience alone.

    Please submit your resume if you are interested in and qualified to teach one of the courses below. As resumes are received, the Department will review and schedule interviews for highly qualified candidates. Please note, the Psychology Department will not accept phone inquiries regarding your resume/application. Review of applications will continue until all positions are filled.

    • Introduction to Psychology - PSY 101
    • Abnormal Psychology - PSY 315
    • Introduction to Social Work PSY 431
    • Developmental Psychology (Child, Adolescent or Lifespan)
