Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Overview
1st SHIFT MONDAY- THURSDAY - 10 HOUR SHIFT - 5 : 00 A.M. TO 3 : 00 P.M.)

This position is responsible for assembly of small valves, larges valves, or hydrants. This includes but is not limited to assembly of parts, subassemblies & components, testing, loading / unloading, and palletizing finished product.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited too
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
- Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality.
- Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
- Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
- Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment, once complete.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications include but are not limited too
- Lifting / carrying of less than 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
- Standing greater than 6 hours per day.
- Ability to move neck forward / back & turn right / left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
- Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, write & utilize tools.
- Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces in high humidity.
- Ability to work with solvents & chemicals, operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
- Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots are required.
