Project Architect/ Project Engineer
General Duties:
As an Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing all drawings and schematics that are reflective of the client’s needs, specifications and adheres to all building codes. Projects to include but not limited to; light commercial, residential, industrial, and equestrian. This position will oversee the entire Drafting Team, supply support to the Sales and Estimating Teams, and report to the VP of Sales.
Essential Functions:
· Work in tandem with the Pre-Construction Project Managers and the Pre-Construction Design Team to ensure timely and accurate drawings are reflective of the client’s specifications
· Ability to convey the intended scope of work to the client via construction drawings with accuracy and clarity
· Track and inform Pre-Construction Project Managers of drawing/approval progress on their projects, noting any significant technical problems and assist in seeking solutions
· Offer suggestions and insight to assist with keeping projects on track and anticipate delay opportunities
· Direct staff on the development of project drawings, studies, and budgets
· Obtain and assemble data necessary to complete architectural and structural designs/drawings, coordinate with outside designers, professionals, and vendors
· Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and structures based upon contracts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other necessary data
· Layout and plan interior room arrangements for commercial and residential buildings, utilizing CAD/Revit operating systems
· Maintain CAD/Revit drawings, files, details, and CAD project completion schedules
Qualifications:
· Professional certifications, AIA (or P.E.) registered in locations where we work or pursuing.
· Understanding of construction to develop solutions that align with the client's vision, goals, needs, budget, and site conditions, etc.
