Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years.

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
