Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Being an Academic Advising Director assists Dean or Associate Dean in the preparation and implementation of department wide goals, procedures, and controls. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Summary | The Director of Academic Operations supports the unit of Academic Operations in the critical areas of academic administration by ensuring operational processes and an infrastructural framework that effectively supports the University’s academic mission. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic Operations, the Director oversees the curriculum management system, directs daily operations, execution of processes for curricular approval, as well as identifies, develops and implements training and support for campus constituents. This role works with the Associate Provost of Academic Operations to ensure effective communication of academic operations and administrative initiatives to drive continuous improvement. |
