Transportation Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Manages daily routing, scheduling, and fleet operations for timely deliveries. Being a Transportation Supervisor implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems. Additionally, Transportation Supervisor audits transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and ensure activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborates with supply and logistics teams to understand constraints and accurately plan and schedule deliveries. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager.
