Requirements and Responsibilities

Sales Support Director establishes the sales support process, develops an infrastructure of systems and tools, and directs support operations. Ensures that sales teams receive the tools and resources needed for smooth operations. Being a Sales Support Director monitors all sales activities to identify problems, create solutions, and produce accurate reporting. Develops and implements promotional events to increase sales volume. Additionally, Sales Support Director may provide oversight of sales incentive or commission programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Sales Support Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Sales Support Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
