Requirements and Responsibilities

Personal Trainer provides personalized training sessions tailored to an individual's goals and fitness levels. Develops comprehensive fitness programs that meets the needs of the client. Being a Personal Trainer monitors and instructs clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment. Offers guidance and support to clients to achieve their goals. Additionally, Personal Trainer requires a high school diploma or equivalent. May require a certified personal trainer (CPT) certification from a recognized fitness organization. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Personal Trainer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Personal Trainer typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
