Requirements and Responsibilities

Finance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of finance operations and professionals. Oversees the collection and analysis of financial information for an organization. Being a Finance Supervisor monitors the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Reviews and interprets financial data to advise and support strategic decision-making and achieve business objectives. Additionally, Finance Supervisor ensures all financial reporting, operations, and transactions maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory financial policies, standards, and controls. Implements financial modeling and analytical tools to measure and forecast the impact of various economic scenarios, risks, and business changes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Finance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Finance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.
