The Yellowstone Art Museum strives to provide a rewarding experience to all of our visitors. We believe that each individual sees, hears, and understands the world from different perspectives. We can accommodate visitors with many kinds of disabilities, can offer multi-sensory experiences, and our site is ADA-compliant and fully accessible. The Education Director, Mary Serbe, is the YAM's onsite accessibility contact (406-256-6804 x231). Two buildings: Both of the YAM's buildings are fully wheelchair accessible, including elevators and lifts, restrooms, and the café. The main museum is located at 401 North 27th Street and the Visible Vault is at 505 North 26th Street. Parking: The YAM's parking lots are wheelchair-friendly. Designated parking spaces in the main museum lot are located to the left (north) when entering from the North 27th Street driveway. Designated parking spaces in the Visible Vault lot are on the north side of the lot, which is the side closest to the building. Wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers: Wheelchairs and walkers are available for loan, but only at our main museum building at 401 North 27th Street. Adapted strollers for children with disabilities are allowed in both buildings. Seating: Bench seating is available throughout the galleries and at our second building, the Visible Vault, at 505 North 26th Street. Audio assistance and tours: The YAM is not currently equipped to provide audio tours, TTY, or listening devices, but we are delighted to offer docent- or staff-led tours with advance notice (two weeks preferred). Our permanent collection galleries do have touchscreen stations, some with audio narration.
