My language teaching career spans thirty-plus years, and includes a very broad range of teaching situations. As a graduate assistant studying Linguistics at University of Florida, I taught for a year in UF's English Language Institute, and for another year in the UF English Department, where I taught the English course for international students, both undergraduate and graduate. As an adjunct professor in the EAP (English for Academic Preparation) Program at Santa Fe College, I taught writing, reading, and communications courses. Most recently, retired from SFC, I taught for two years in Moscow, RF, at Language Link International, a large English language school, with reciprocal arrangements with British universities, specializing in Russian and English for use in academia, science, and international business and law. Since 2011, I have been happily tutoring private students from all over the world, both as a freelancer and through WyzAnt Tutoring. I enjoy all the arts, outdoors activities of all kinds (especially swimming in our beautiful local springs), painting, dancing, and, most of all, spending time with friends and with my four sons and their families.
