We are a group of board-certified orthopedic surgeons. Since 1970, our goal has been to provide top-of-the-line care to our patients, for the most basic to the most complex problems. Our mission is to help our patients achieve outstanding long-term outcomes through technical expertise, patient education and individualized care to meet every patient's unique goals and demands. Our practice focuses on the specialty of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, which encompasses the evaluation and treatment of problems of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves. Our doctors are all Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and several are double-certified in the subspecialties of sports medicine and hand surgery. Many of our physicians have sub-specialty interests including sports injury and prevention, adult joint reconstruction, spine surgery and hand/upper extremity surgery. All physicians at NWOA are clinical assistant professors at the Tufts University School of Medicine and are actively involved in the training of other orthopedic surgeons. Several of our physicians oversee ongoing research in orthopedic surgery, development of medical devices, and surgical techniques. Many also serve as sports medicine consultants to Mass Premier Soccer, as well as several local high school and college athletic teams. A comprehensive list of resources is readily available at all of our locations to minimize "extra trips" to our patients. Digital X-ray, casting and splinting is available at all of our offices. Bone Densitometry (DEXA scan) can be performed in our main office and MRI imaging, physical therapy and occupational therapy are available at our Wellesley office.
