Formed in 2009, Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN is a volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals, and educating the community on responsible pet ownership. Wags & Whiskers has no facility or shelter. Instead, all our animals are housed in foster homes while they await their forever homes. With this approach, our foster parents become familiar with the personalities of his or her foster dog or cat and use this familiarity to match our animals to appropriate homes. Wags & Whiskers is dependent on donations and adoption fees to keep operating, and as a nonprofit, we host or sponsor several fundraising events throughout the year. Advertisement of all upcoming events can be found on this website under Events and on our facebook page. We are always in need of foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live in or near the Twin Cities, please complete a Foster Application. We provide all needed supplies and cover all medical costs of our animals. We hold adoption events several times a month at various PetSmart locations where you can come and meet some of the Wags animals. We also arrange meet and greets for those adopters who fall in love with a particular animals internet photo. Our volunteers are more than just volunteers, we are a family!
