The Fun Pimps creators of 7 Days to Die are small dedicated group of highly experienced Game and Software developers with a passion to make games that both our team and gamers really want to play. Our goal is to create a lasting gaming experience you cant get anywhere else. Its more than a game its a labor of love! The Fun Pimps were founded in late 2012 by Richard Huenink, Joel Huenink and Christian Lang who had only their day jobs, the dream of making a game independently and a short Google Design Doc based on an idea Richard and Joel cooked up over Thanksgiving Dinner in 2012. The game concept outlined a hardcore zombie survival game with tower defense, day and night cycles and a fully build-able, fully destroy-able voxel world. The original concept was entitled 30 Days to Die but was shortened to 7 Days to Die along with the scope as the team feared the original concept was too ambitious and wanted the game to be done by July of 2013. But everything changed after launching a wildly successful Kickstarter Campaign in July of 2013 where we promised the first Alpha keys after the campaign and the phrase Wheres my Key Bro was born and struck fear in the hearts of the pimps. Little did any of us know know that after almost 4 years later we would still be working on 7 Days to Die, the game would reach over 2.5 million copies sold on PC , the game would make Valves top 100 best selling games of all time and the team size would grow to over twenty five with full and part time team members. This game has become our passion and we still aim to make it hands down the best damn zombie game ever made.
