Qualification Requirements: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or technical degree preferred, but may be substituted with well-rounded technical experience 3-5 years’ experience in cost estimating for steel fabrication is required. Experience providing accurate estimates for projects including labor, material, and subcontracting costs Knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes, material takeoffs, quality fixtures, codes, and specifications A working knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI and other related codes Experience in cost estimation for machining and assembly a plus Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communications skills
