Since 1911, Our Community Bank has helped residents of our community achieve financial stability and become homeowners, strengthening our local economy. Along the way, weve earned a reputation for remarkably personal customer service and the neighborly friendliness thats long been a tradition in our part of the world. We opened our doors as the Owen County Savings and Loan Association in 1911, founded by a group of residents led by druggist Billy Moss. Staying focused on our community, conservative principles, and prudent strategies has helped us remain solid through two world wars, the Great Depression, and numerous economic downturns. In 1987, we transitioned to a savings bank charter and took on the Owen Community Bank name in 1994 to reflect a wider array of financial products and services. In 2003, we adopted Our Community Bank as our corporate name. Throughout, weve remained independent and locally owned. Today, we serve individuals and businesses throughout Owen, Putnam, and the surrounding counties from full-service offices in Spencer and Cloverdale, along with our Development Center on Spencers historic Courthouse Square and the Financial Literacy Academy at Owen Valley High School. While the financial world has changed dramatically since 1911, we continue to focus on the values that have guided us since the very beginning and are proud to serve as Our Community Bank.
