The Soccer Club of Oceanside (SCO), a charter member of C.Y.S.A. (California Youth Soccer Association), is fast becoming a pace setter in recreational and competitive soccer in Southern California. SCO is made up of highly dedicated individuals, possessing tremendous soccer experience and commitment to developing our youth. SCO offers over 200 scholarships to players that do not have the resources to pay registration fees. There are two different entities to SCO. Part 1 is the recreational side that serves close to 2,000 children. Ranging from division 7 (4 & 5 year olds) to Division 1 (15 & 16). Part 2 is our competitive teams. (Breakers) These teams are comprised of selected players and coached by professionally trained coaches. Breaker teams are selected in late April. Breaker teams travel of their schedule to other cities for games. Currently, there are 20 Breaker teams from Under 8 to Under 19. Breaker fees are more, but still the lowest in the county by comparative standards. Breaker teams are developed in a no pressure environment, developing skills in an enjoyable way.
