Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School (MTCES) is one of only three independent, private Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. A group of 20 families, concerned about the unavailability of Catholic education opportunities in the Butler-Warren, Ohio region, founded the school. In 1998, they opened MTCES in the basement of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Monroe. Since then, Sr. Anne Schulz, C.PP.S. has served as Principal and CEO--helping the school grow into a full-scale campus with large classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities. In January 2002, MTCES built its permanent home on a 25-acre campus in Liberty Township, and by the fall of 2006, we were offering a complete K-8 program. We opened our fourth building expansion for the 2016-17 school year. MTCES is fully recognized by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and run by a board of staff members, parents and community leaders. Under this direction and with monetary support from our community, we are able to meet the demands of our growing population and ensure that each of our students reaches and exceeds his or her potential.
