Electrical Designer 12-month contract-to-hire Windsor Mill, Maryland (2 days remote, 3 days on-site) Primary Purpose of Position: Under minimum supervision, coordinates and develops complex designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for special and major projects. Coordinates the activities of and provides technical guidance for designers, drafters, survey personnel, and contractors assigned to special or major projects. Collaborates with engineers by performing such duties as preparing reports and estimates, making technical calculations, conducting investigations, and monitoring field tests and surveys. Identifies specifications and codes necessary to comply with requirements of governmental agencies and other utility companies and acquires necessary approvals and permits. Reviews project designs prepared by others for adherence to all regulatory agency and Company standards. Prepares layouts, sketches, material requisitions, and finished drawings for permits and construction.
