Of the $1,406,590.00 of emergency assistance we provided last year, over half of that figure went to cover the costs of overdue mortgage and rent payments, to pay for utilities that were about to be shut down, to fill oil tanks, meet unexpected medical and prescription costs, or help meet child care costs so working parents can keep on working. Nearly $650,000.00 worth of food was distributed through our 8 food pantries and our mnthly food distribution program. Slightly more than $100,000.00 worth of clothing and bedding went to our clients and their children. We also came up with an additional $35,000 worth of toys for 512 local boys and girls over the holiday season.
