Loring Fire Department performs fire protection operations, emergency medical response airport firefighting, and Haz-Mat response for the Loring Commerce Centre. This 10-member department, under the direction of Chief Paul Barnes, operates three twenty-four hour shifts with three personnel on duty at all times. All personnel are members of local volunteer fire departments from Bridgewater to Van Buren, holding positions from Firefighter/EMT's to Assistant Fire Chief. Our chief officers have over 100 years of collective firefighting experience. Emergency Medical Services are provided by Maine Licensed Emergency Medical Technicians capable of providing emergency medical treatment from Basic to Paramedic Life Support. The fire department is also actively involved in several professional organizations including the Aroostook County Fire Chiefs Association, Maine State Federation of Firefighters and the Maine Fire Chief's Association.
