Lewis Motor Repair is a locally owned and operated business based in Waite Park, Minnesota. Initially established in 1969 by Dick and Patricia Lewis, our company was formally founded as Lewis Motor Repair in 1973. At that time our company provided electric motor repair services and operated out of its original shop in St. Cloud, MN. In 1989 we relocated to our current location at 3015 4th Street South in Waite Park, MN. Some eight years later, in 1997, John Carlson and Don Winkels took over ownership of the business. The pair still own and operate the company today. They continue to expand upon our company's product and service offerings, keeping up-to-date with industry changes and electric motor advancements. Throughout the years, facility expansions and equipment upgrades have transformed our location into a modern commercial service center, allowing us to accommodate larger jobs and to perform a higher-caliber of repairs. In 1999 a new high service bay was added to our existing repair shop, allowing for large apparatus repairs. In 2000 a new administration, training, and warehouse facility was constructed on the property. In 2010 we added a full machine shop to compliment the motor and apparatus services already offered. Today, over 40 years later, Lewis Motor Repair is locally, regionally, and nationally recognized as a leading full-service electrical and mechanical provider. We offer everything from new product sales to engineering and automation services, as well as on-site services.
