Jonesboro Housing Authority administers HUD Public Housing and Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs in the City of Jonesboro and in Clayton County, Georgia. The Mission of the Jonesboro Housing Authority is to assist eligible low income families with safe, decent and affordable housing as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives. The Housing Authority will create and maintain partnerships with its clients and appropriate community services in order to accomplish its mission in a non-discriminatory responsible manner. Jonesboro Housing Authority (JHA) is taking an abundance of precaution to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19. JHA Offices will be opening back up by Appointment ONLY to the Public starting June 1, 2020. You will need to contact your case worker by phone or email if you would like to make an appointment. JHA will try to assist you via internet, email or phone, but in the event you need to see your case worker, you will need to schedule an appointment. JHA will also require any resident or owner entering the building to wear a mask. You will also have your temperature read via thermal thermometer when you arrive and only allowed entrance if you do not have a temperature!
