Quite simply, we are a not-for-profit but for service credit union providing a full array of convenient, electronically delivered services at no or low cost. We serve more than 11,000 members and have over $70 million in assets. You might be wondering what makes us different. For starters, it's the philosophy behind why we do business every day. As a credit union, we exist to serve our members - not stockholders. Everything we do is for the benefit of our members. Members love our competitive rates, low fees, convenience and great service. We have the capability to provide superior financial products, online tools and top-notch service to each and every member. We started 65 years ago serving the City of Jackson Employees. In fact, our credit union was called "The City of Jackson, MS Employees Federal Credit Union". It was changed to "Jackson Area Federal Credit Union" when we started serving more than just the City of Jackson employees. But it's not all that we are today. We're the credit union of choice for businesses and organizations located in Jackson, MS and in Hinds County. We now serve 70 Select Employment Groups or SEGS, immediate family members of members of the credit union or immediate family members of retired City of Jackson employees and anyone that works, worships, lives or goes to school in Hinds County.
