We have made great strides in the political arena because of the volunteer efforts of our members. You have stepped up to make the phone calls and attend the rallies at the State Capitol to fight the unnecessary, unsafe, and unfair Right-to-Work legislation. Our members have solidly supported both the Bonding and Vikings Stadium bills as well as keeping our current Prevailing Wage laws in effect. Attending these events and seeing the passion demonstrated by our members, I am truly humbled by the amount of support this Local has shown. I want to thank our Political Coordinator, Andy Snope, for the guidance he has provided. Our Brothers and Sisters have fought hard over the last 110 years to build-up this Local, and we owe it to them to stay vigilant and ever mindful of these attacks on Labor. Our work picture is looking slightly better, and we have dipped below 800 on the Inside Out-of-Work Book. I have no doubt that this trend will continue, and, with your help, we can increase the level of pride within our Union. Again, I thank the traveling Sisters and Brothers for the sacrifices you are making. You have pulled away from your family to provide for them when there is no work locally.
