Fullington Academy is located in Pinehurst, Georgia, on highway 41 South. This small town, with a population of a few hundred, hosts the only private academy in Dooly County. Fullington has educated students for over 30 years and it continues to provide exceptional educational opportunities for its students. Its exceptionality is attested by the rigorous standards with which it must comply in order to continue as an academic facility. The Georgia Independent School Association (G.I.S.A.) governs academics and athletics. The G.I.S.A. is the governing body for over one hundred and thirty schools all over the state of Georgia including Fullington Academy. Fullington is accredited with the Georgia Accrediting Commission and undergoes evaluation to hold its status every five years. However, the school is reviewed every year. The school began operations as Fullington Academy in the fall of 1970. There were only two buildings on the campus. The primary building and the high school building were used to educate students in the first through twelfth grades. Mr. C.T. Alexander was the first headmaster. He oversaw a faculty consisting of sixteen members and a student body of 349 pupils. The gymnasium was built during the summer and completed in the Fall of 1970. Wayne Smith, a Fullington Senior in 1970-1971 and class president, drew the Trojan head on the center of the court as the official mascot of the school. The first basketball game was held in January 1971. It marked the beginning of Fullington athletics. Football, baseball, softball, tennis, track, golf, and other events followed quickly. A special dedication honoring Coach Van Heard is in the first Fullington Annual for his dedication and commitment to athletics. Sewell Hall, the fourth building added to the campus, was completed in 1973. It housed grades four through eight due to student class size growth in the early seventies. Mr. Sewell, a Dooly County native, donated the land and a large portion of funding for the construction of the building. The building ...

What Skills Does a person Need at Fullington Academy?

At Fullington Academy, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Professional development: Professional development refers to continuing education and career training after a person has entered the workforce in order to help them develop new skills, stay up-to-date on current trends, and advance their career.
  2. child development: Child development refers to the sequence of physical, language, thought and emotional changes that occur in a child from birth to the beginning of adulthood.
  3. CPR: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) combines rescue breathing (mouth-to-mouth) and chest compressions to temporarily pump enough blood to the brain until specialized treatment is available.
  4. Early Childhood Education: Early childhood education, also known as nursery education, is a branch of education theory that relates to the teaching of children from birth up to the age of eight.
  5. Child Care: Child care, otherwise known as day care, is the care and supervision of a child or multiple children at a time, whose ages range from six weeks to thirteen years. Child care is the action or skill of looking after children by a day-care center, nannies, babysitter, teachers or other providers. Child care is a broad topic that covers a wide spectrum of professionals, institutions, contexts, activities, and social and cultural conventions. Early child care is an equally important and often overlooked component of child development. Child care providers can be children's first teachers, and therefore play an integral role in systems of early childhood education. Quality care from a young age can have a substantial impact on the future successes of children. The main focus of childcare is on the development of the child, whether that be mental, social, or psychological. In most cases children are taken care of by their parents, legal guardians, or siblings. In some cases, it is also seen that children care for other children. This informal care includes verbal direction and other explicit training regarding the child's behavior, and is often as simple as "keeping an eye out" for younger siblings. Care facilitated by similar-aged children covers a variety of developmental and psychological effects in both caregivers and charge. This is due to their mental development being in a particular case of not being able to progress as it should be at their age. This care giving role may also be taken on by the child's extended family. Another form of childcare that is on the rise in contrast to familial caregiving is that of center-based child care. In lieu of familial care giving, these responsibilities may be given to paid caretakers, orphanages or foster homes to provide care, housing, and schooling.

Job Description Job Description The Assurance Group (www.assuregrp.com) is looking for the right person to fill a consultive health and life insurance rep position. The ideal candidate is one who can bring to the table the right mix of work ethic and integrity, and who enjoys the idea of a career that centers around helping people. Although experienced insurance agents are welcome to apply, no experience is necessary. In fact, in many cases we prefer to work with people coming from other industries. It might seem strange that a company specializing in various financial services would be looking outside of "experienced" reps, but we've found so much success taking people from other industries like bartenders, servers, teachers, healthcare workers, and even former military, and training them to represent our products (life, health, and fixed index annuities) that we've decided to lean hard in that direction.
