This position is responsible for managing three overarching responsibilities: product integrity, new product design, day-to-day jobs and related production. These activities are supported by activities including Engineering throughput for approvals and releases through a team of mechanical and electrical designers, engineers and checkers as well as approving special design products, directing changes and performing engineering calculations to determine stress load and other safety and durability measures. Other responsibilities include process improvement and instituting controls and metrics where appropriate. Job Duties: Manages activities of Engineering work groups including mill duty, vacuum, posi-turner, standards and stock products. Implements, changes and incorporates more use of automated design changes to drive reuse of existing designs. Provides technical direct to the electrical engineering team members with design guidelines, documented practices, and wiring standardization.

Responsible for equipment design and development. Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings in both 2D AutoCAD and 3D from rough or detailed sketches. Makes final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, the relation of one part to another, and the relation of various parts to the whole structure or project.
