Job Summary: The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of microbiology functions under minimal supervision. These functions include: • Microbiological Sampling and Testing • Environmental Monitoring • Microbial Plate Counting • Sample Management: including receipt and shipment of samples • General Lab Support: housekeeping, monitoring and maintaining lab supplies inventory • Documentation of all activities according to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and internal SOP’s Essential Functions • Perform sample collection and testing of environmental surface/air and utilities. • Use a wide variety of sophisticated equipment with responsibility for operation, maintenance, and daily calibration check (if appropriate). • Prepare documentation of all laboratory work in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs, as appropriate. • Ensure all laboratory work is conducted in compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations. • Maintain inventory
