Dixon Automatic Tool, Inc. is a privately-owned company which operates in Rockford, IL. Our Company is the outgrowth of Dixon Research, Inc., founded in 1946 by the late Paul H. Dixon. Dixon Research specialized in the development of weapons with high-speed ammo feed systems for the military. As this technology developed, we soon found industrial applications that lead to incorporating our company Dixon Automatic Tool in early 1950. Our roots have always been focused on engineering and the creation of new products to improve productivity. Our products are the result of years of design and development work involving parts handling for automated assembly. Dixon has accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge in assembly technology. Our engineering background allowed us to specialize on developing products for automatic self-fed screwdrivers, nut drivers, part placers, pressing heads, feed systems, part orienting and placement of a wide range of component piece parts. We also offer a line of semi-automatic work cells and two piece assembly machines. In 1995 we partnered with Stöger Automation of Germany as their Authorized Distributor in North America. Stöger specializes in blow-fed screwdriving technology. This agreement allowed us to expand our capabilities in automation assemblies, bringing compact blow-fed screwdrivers, part placers, setting systems and hand-helds to our product line. All our drivers are unique as they complete the fastening and proper sensing of each part in one stroke, every cycle. Each Dixon product is thoroughly inspected and tested to assure our high standard of excellence. All of our standard products have a one year warranty covering material and workmanship. Our employees are dedicated, professional, and highly skilled. The proven reliability of Dixon products and their rugged durability makes Dixon the No. 1 choice of many major manufacturers and machine builders. Contact us today, we look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
