Established in 1984. We are a Southern Baptist Church that aims to glorify God by making disciples that advance the Gospel. We look forward to you and your family joining us in this mission. -Chris Griggs, Lead Pastor The history of Denver Baptist church is a testimony to the grace of God and his sovereignty. The church began as a mission of Center View Baptist Church of Maiden, NC in August 1982. With great vision of what God could do, 18 people from Center View came to Denver and occupied a small, three-room building as their first gathering place. The Lord increased the number of this mission of Center View BC. On January 1, 1984, Denver Baptist Church was chartered with 69 people as founding members. The church met in several Denver area storefronts. In the fall of 2000, the church dedicated a new worship center facility. On October 16, 2005, the church called Dr. Chris Griggs to become the fourth Lead Pastor of Denver Baptist. We invite you to come and grow with us!
