Our Client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for a Pharmacy Tech I for their Cumberland, RI location. Responsibilities: Building strong relationships with patients Inbound and Outbound Calls to patients and prescribers Scheduling of patient medication deliveries Data Entry This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.

Summary: To provide the full scope of pharmaceutical services to the patients, nurses, and physicians of Roger Williams Medical Center under the direct and indirect supervision of the registered pharmacist. Licensure: Must have a current RI Pharmacy Technician License and PTCB National Certification. Experience: Six months preferred, but not required. Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated area with exposure to hazardous waste and chemicals. Must meet annual safety training requirements and health test requirements such as annual TB testing. Required lifting or moving objects weighing 25 pounds from time to time. Interrelationships: Must possess interpersonal skills and tact creating a favorable image in relationship to the department and the hospital as a whole. Must demonstrate commitment to a team approach and concepts of total quality.
