Job Description Job Description The Town of Brewster seeks qualified candidates for the position of Water Operator. This position is responsible for performing skilled and unskilled manual labor and performs technical water maintenance duties for the Water Department. Under the direction of the Water Department Foreman the Water Operator will assist with the inspection, maintenance, and operation of the Town’s water systems. Repairs water main leaks, responds to emergency calls regarding water main leaks and related issues; performs hydrant maintenance and repairs and ensures adequate water pressure of hydrants. Monitor for system issues, investigates problems at treatment facilities, determine the source of the issue and reports on issues and possible solutions.
