After the Great Chicago Fire destroyed many churches, a group of people began rebuilding their church community. They purchased a lot in 1881 located at the corner of Halsted and Belden Avenue in Chicago. In 1888 Belden Avenue Baptist Church was launched. The church relocated to the city of Niles where CityLine Bible Church is today. After some time of ministry in Niles, they changed the name of the church to Crossway Baptist Church. Crossway Baptist church voted to become an extension campus of Harvest Bible Chapel with the agreement that it would be planted as an independent church when it was strong enough. The first meeting of Harvest Niles had 110 people in attendance. By 2006, the church had grown to 450 people and hired Mohan Zachariah to take on the role of campus pastor. Since that time, the Lord has grown the church to an average attendance of 1300 people over three services on a weekend. Harvest Bible Chapel planted the Niles Campus as an independent church to bring to fruition the initial vision that brought the Niles Campus to Harvest 15 years earlier. The church was renamed to CityLine Bible Church, to better reflect the location and diverse communities they serve. Pastor Mohan Zachariah continues in the role of Lead Pastor alongside a newly installed elder board and qualified pastoral and support staff. CityLine Bible Church is strong and excited about the future.
